What is Kambo?

Kambô is a traditional cleansing ritual originating from the indigenous tribes of the Amazon, working with the secretion of the Giant Green Monkey Tree Frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor). It has long been used in ceremonial contexts to support clarity, vitality, and energetic renewal.

In ritual, the secretion is applied to the skin through small points, allowing the body to engage in a brief yet intense process. It works through the lymphatic system, supporting the movement and release of internal fluids where the body can hold onto waste, stagnation, and stress. Many experience this as a physical and emotional release, followed by a sense of lightness, presence, and recalibration.

Kambô is often referred to as the “vaccine of the jungle”—not in a medical sense, but as a reflection of its traditional role in cleansing accumulated heaviness and restoring a natural state of balance.
